Software Development
IOS14, audio unit, core audio, swift 5, C++
Project Details
The client encountered problems implementing real-time audio signal processing in their iOS application. The client contracted Wolff Electronic Design to develop the real-time audio signal processing code and to provide them with a working demo that could be incorporated into their application. The signal processing code was written as an audio unit in C++ to allow faster real-time behavior.
The supporting code and demo app were written in Swift 5 to provide easier integration with the client’s application. The initial signal processing algorithm specified by the client did not provide acceptable signal processing behavior, so Wolff Electronic Design suggested and implemented an alternate signal processing algorithm. The client was very satisfied with the resulting IOS Signal processing performance and was able to move their app into the clinical testing phase.
